Bhedetar, Dhanakuta, 12 Shrawan
The recently inaugurated Sky Walk Tower in Bhedetar, a popular tourist destination, has ignited a wave of optimism among local hoteliers.

Wonders Amusement Parks and Attractions Pvt. Ltd. has invested Rs. 20 million in this 11-ropani project, which was officially opened on Friday in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6, Dhanakuta.

With the tower now operational, tourism activities in the region are expected to surge, according to local tourism entrepreneurs. Tumraj Limbu, president of the Hotel Association of Bhedetar, expressed confidence that the tower will revitalize the tourism industry. “We’ve already seen an increase in tourist arrivals since the inauguration, and we anticipate a significant boost in hotel business,” he said.

Ramesh Shrestha, the operator of Hotel Arun Top and a veteran in the hospitality industry, believes that the tower will not only benefit the hotel business but also contribute to the sale of agricultural produce in the region.

Lilaraj Lawati, former president of the Hotel Association of Bhedetar and the operator of Hotel Lavati Corner, echoed this sentiment, stating that the project will be a game-changer for the over 100 large hotels operating in the area.

Bhedetar attracts a large number of tourists from the Terai region during the summer months. Situated in the Chure hills, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, hills, and Terai. According to the Hotel Association, over 2,000 tourists from Nepal and eastern India visit Bhedetar daily to enjoy these scenic vistas.

Jitendra Rumdali Rai, the chairman of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality, expressed his belief that the tower will significantly contribute to the development of tourism in the region. Currently, Bhedetar is home to more than 200 hotels of various sizes.
